Punarnava Himalaya (Boerhavia diffusa), is known for its medicinal properties throughout India. It is mentioned as far back as the oldest books of Ayurveda.   

Punarnava Himalaya is used in the regeneration of the kidneys and liver. It has a therapeutic effect on the glomeruli of the kidneys, which have been damaged due to diabetes, for example, or inflammation. Punarnava is used in urinary tract infections and ensures the health of the entire urinary system.
